Stas is a civil litigator focusing on insurance-related disputes. He has a broad range of experience including bodily injury claims, commercial disputes, accident benefits claims, subrogation, cyber liability, and privacy law.
Stas has participated in court proceedings, private arbitrations, and various administrative hearings. Most notably, Stas independently conducted a seven-day in-person hearing before the Licence Appeal Tribunal and second-chaired an appeal of a private arbitration decision at the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.
When he was younger, Stas was a member of the York University Varsity Swim Team and competed in international lifesaving competitions. At the same time, Stas was working as a lifeguard, pool supervisor, and head coach of a lifesaving club. Today, he continues to be heavily involved with the Lifesaving Society of Ontario and is uniquely qualified to provide opinions regarding municipal and aquatic safety liability. His diverse background allows him to provide his clients with creative, but focused, solutions to their legal problems.
In his spare time, Stas participates in a variety of sports, plays with cars, and follows the Leafs a bit too closely.
