Krista has a diverse insurance law practice which focuses on bodily injury litigation, including general negligence/liability claims, motor vehicle accidents, commercial general liability, homeowners’ liability and occupiers’ liability, as well as priority/loss transfer disputes between insurers.
She has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Small Claims Court, the Ontario Divisional Court and the Ontario Court of Appeal, as well as administrative tribunals including FSCO/ADR and the Licence Appeal Tribunal. She has also obtained favourable outcomes for insurer clients in various private arbitration proceedings involving both loss transfer and priority disputes.
Krista has served multiple terms as co-chair of the Continuing Legal Education Committee for the Ontario Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division. She has also co-chaired and presented at various industry conferences since 2012.
